A man will stand trial over allegations he abused his former partner – including threatening to kill her and any new boyfriend she met.
Stuart James Morris of Church Road Marina in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 41 year old denies domestic abuse between April and May this year.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing Morris is alleged to have kicked her front door off its hinges after their relationship ended, and he demanded to know if she’d met somebody new.
He’s also said to have followed her in his car as she walked along Douglas Promenade.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn’t contact his alleged victim, and is next due to appear at a pre-trial review hearing on November 16.
