A man who spat on a pregnant woman outside a busy Douglas restaurant will be sentenced next month.
Dillon Frazer Cowie of Marathon Drive in Douglas admitted assault when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing the woman was in a car outside Barbary Coast on South Quay in Douglas when the 21 year old approached her car and spat on her up to four times, banging on her car roof.
He’s also said to have thrown a drink over her and tossed a can towards her car during the incident on September 22.
His advocate told the court her client denied claims he’d threatened to set her car alight and thrown a deodorant can at the vehicle.
Magistrates remanded Cowie in custody, and he’ll appear in court again on November 5.
