A man who’s alleged to have punched his girlfriend in the face as been remanded in custody.
Robert Anthony Mcconville of Coronation Terrace in Douglas didn’t enter a plea to the assault charge when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
Barry Swain, prosecuting, said the 57 year old is alleged to have grabbed his partner by the throat, verbally abusing her before punching her on March 20.
There was no application for bail and magistrates remanded him to appear again on April 4.
