The Douglas Coastguard and Lifeboat teams were in action today following reports of a man trapped at the foot of the cliffs beneath Sea Cliff Road, Onchan.
At 11am the man was able to raise the alarm to the emergency services saying he had become trapped and was unable to get up the cliff.
Rescue units were immediately dispatched and upon locating the man it became apparent he was uninjured.
Following his swift recovery from the foot of the cliffs he was checked over and confirmed as being perfectly ok.
