Lifeboat crews and coastguards were called out last night after a man fell ill on the Calf of Man.
The incident happened at 10.40pm when the man reported suffering chest pains.
Port Erin Lifeboat took a paramedic to the island to give medical assistance, and transferred both back to Port Erin.
The man was taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment.
