A Blackburn man who tried to flee the Isle of Man with more than £4,000 worth of criminal property has been remanded in custody.
28-year- old Tony Parsons, of Bromley Street, was stopped at the Sea Terminal just before 7pm on March 18.
At Douglas Courthouse this week he pleaded guilty to using a vehicle to try and remove £4,610 in cash.
Police searched Parsons' car just before he was due to board the boat -they found six bundles of cash and three mobile phones.
The court was told some of the money had been stitched into the lining of a coat which Parsons had worn.
Sentencing will take place at the Court of General Gaol Delivery - Parsons surrendered his bail and will be remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next appearance on August 25.
