A man’s been remanded in custody after admitting two assaults on police officers on New Year’s Day.
Leroy Stephen McHarrie of Mona Drive in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse via a live videolink from prison.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting police on January 1, and a charge of criminal damage on the same date was withdrawn by the prosecution.
There was no application for bail and the 22-year-old was remanded in custody until he appears again on February 17.
