A Douglas man's hoping an epic walk will raise enough cash to reunite him with a dog he saved from being eaten.
Chachai O'Hare is planning to raise £6,000 to bring two-year-old Yellow to the Island from the far east, after the pooch was rescued from the Chinese meat trade.
Sara Cryer, organizing this fundraiser says "Yellow, and many others like her have been saved from horrific living conditions and from the butcher’s knife. She and about 39 others are now ready to start new lives in their new homes in the UK. We were lucky enough to match with Yellow and are so excited to finally welcome her home. However, thanks to the pandemic it has become eye-wateringly expensive to transport these dogs out of China and onwards to the many homes that are waiting for them."
He'll be tackling the Parish Walk on June 19, aiming to make it to Peel.
