A man who terrified his mother and a friend by banging on her door with a metal pole has been placed on probation.
Joshua Thomas Gilardoni of no fixed abode appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 20 year old admitted using provoking behaviour in Tynwald Road in Willaston on July 30.
Prosecutor Barry Swain said unemployed Gilardoni had turned up at the woman's home at 11pm, demanding to be let in.
When she refused, he spent hours banging her door and shouting until police arrived and arrested him.
Mrs Hughes ordered him to spend 12 months under the supervision of the probation service.
