A court’s heard a man was knocked unconscious for five minutes during an attack in the capital’s main shopping street.
Paul Allan Bollon of Hillside Avenue in Douglas pleaded not guilty to affray on May 10 on Strand Street.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse Mr Bollon is alleged to have turned violent after being turned away from 1886.
She claimed the 34 year old knocked a man unconscious outside Shoezone before members of the public intervened.
Magistrates bailed Mr Bollon in the sum of £500 to appear in court again for a pre-trial review on December 5.
