Friday, 13 September 2019 06:10

By Jason Roberts - Court Reporter

A court’s heard a Crosby man tried to flee police because he was carrying drugs.

James Gibson Collinson of Eyreton Lea appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.

The 23 year old admitted possessing the class B drug Ketamine in the car park of a Douglas insurance office in the early hours of March 17.

The court heard he’d tried to run when challenged about his suspicious behaviour, but he was quickly caught and admitted he’d hidden £25 worth of the powder in his underwear.

He was fined a total of £250 and ordered to pay costs of £50 – the drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
