A Ramsey man will be marking his 80th birthday with a charity swim in memory of his late wife.
Barrie Johnson is planning to swim 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) to raise money for Hospice Isle of Man.
That will be a total of 200 lengths in The Northern Swimming Pool, which he hopes to complete in around 2.5 hours during the final week of October.
His wife Muriel was also a keen swimmer.
He’s already raised over £3,000 for the charity - you can find out more and donate to Barrie's fundraiser here.
