Man on assault charge bailed

A man who is said to have grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the throat during an argument has been told not to contact her after appearing in court.

Aaron Paul Field of Derby View in Castletown appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.

The 22-year-old is charged with common assault on August 31, but hasn’t yet entered a plea.

Magistrates bailed him on condition he doesn’t contact his alleged victim, and he’ll next appear in court on September 9.
