A man who went on a shoplifting spree which netted him hundreds of pounds worth of goods has appeared in court.
Darren Michael Bardsley, who is 59 and of Mona Street in Douglas, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted six counts of theft, and one each of criminal damage, drink-driving and assault.
Bardsley admitting stealing an Apple watch from Manx Telecom, two bottles of Jack Daniels from the Co-Op and numerous other items while drunk.
He was sent to prison for 22 weeks, with a further six months from a previous suspended sentence, and banned from driving for three years.
