A Spiritualist Christian Hindu herbalist has lost an Equality Tribunal after claiming religious discrimination because he was asked to wear a face mask at Noble's Hospital during the pandemic.
Troy Angelo Mincher of Castletown told the Equality and Employment Tribunal he'd been refused treatment, but admitted he'd walked out of the hospital with a cannula still attached.
The tribunal found insufficient evidence his religious beliefs had prevented him accepting invasive procedures, and said there wasn't enough evidence to prove his claim he was disabled.
His claim was refused on the grounds his beliefs weren't protected under law.
