A man who killed his partner on the Island has been jailed for five years and eight months.
Jill Hughes was on holiday with her family and partner John Meadows over Easter Weekend when an altercation between them broke out on Friday March 29.
Meadows plead guilty to manslaughter after he punched her in the side of the neck killing her almost instantly outside the Palace Hotel and Casino on Central Promenade.
The family of Jill said she was one in a million and was such a happy, sarcastic, hardworking and passionate person.
