A man who headbutted a police officer - his third such assault - has been told his jail sentence won't be cut.
Jason Craig Quayle of Rearyt-Ny-Chrink in Crosby was jailed for 16 months in July after admitting assaulting the officer and twice breaching an alcohol ban.
He appealed against his sentence, saying magistrates shouldn't have activated a 12-month suspended sentence imposed last November for two assaults, theft from a vehicle, criminal damage, assault on police, drug possession, disorderly behaviour and breaching a licensing ban.
Judge of Appeal Storey QC and Deemster Cook said magistrates were dealing with 11 offences in 14 months - five were committed on bail and three breached a suspended sentence.
They dismissed the appeal.
