Police have confirmed a man is in custody after entering a closed road and deliberately ignoring Marshals who tried to stop him.
In a post on social media officers say they're in 'utter disbelief' at the incident which happened earlier this evening.
It comes following a report from Marshals of a man driving a car onto closed roads, who was then ordered onto a lay-by but ignored the advice.
The man in question then allegedly did a u-turn, and drove against the TT course for around half a mile.
Marshals then had to physically intervene by standing in the road to direct the car off the closed route.
Police say the consequences could have been 'catastrophic' and have confirmed a man is on his way to custody.
