A man's admitted two counts of criminal damage after kicking his former partner's back door and spitting in a police van.
Shaun Bignell, of Mona Street, Douglas, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 34-year-old went to the victim's house in Ramsey on Boxing Day and kicked the door after she refused to let him in.
Police were called and Bignell was arrested - he spat several times in the back of the police van.
The case was adjourned for a full probation report and Bignell will be sentenced on March 28. He was bailed in the sum of £500.
