A man was hospitalised following an incident with a member of security staff in the Island's capital last night.
Police took to social media earlier today to confirm an incident occurred outside 1886 on Regent Street in Douglas shortly after midnight.
Officers said an altercation happened between a member of security staff working on the door and a man who was attempting to re-enter the premises.
It resulted in the man being hospitalised overnight for a head injury - however, police have been able to speak with him and it's thought he should make a full recovery.
The security staff member was arrested on suspicion of assault and enquiries are ongoing into investigating exactly what happened.
He has since been interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
