A court has heard a tree surgeon from Douglas was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
44 year old Alexander Maitland Skyrme's body was discovered in Arrasey Plantation in Patrick earlier this month.
The inquest into his death opened at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes adjourned the hearing until a date to be set for investigations to continue.
