A driver who was caught by police using his mobile phone has been handed a £250 fine.
Shaun Gale of Cushag Road in Anagh Coar pleaded guilty to using a mobile phone while driving via a coroner's admission.
Magistrates at Douglas Courthouse heard the 19 year old was driving along Quarterbridge Road in Douglas on February 23.
Officers on patrol spotted him holding the phone and noticed its screen was lit - Gale claimed he'd been turning on Bluetooth at the time.
He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £50 towards prosecution costs.
Magistrates also imposed four penalty points on his licence.
