Speeding and jumping red lights in a car later found to be unroadworthy has cost a Ramsey man more than £1,000.
Jason Harold Redford of Albert Street appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 38 year old admitted doing 50mph in a 30 zone on February 17 and failing to obey a red traffic light the same day.
He also pleaded guilty to having two defective tyres on his Ford Escort van and having the vehicle in a dangerous or unroadworthy condition.
Redford was fined £1,000 in total, had seven penalty points put on his licence and was ordered to pay £100 costs.
