A man who was caught with drugs while serving a community service order for a similar offence last year has been fined.
Matthew Boyde of Cronk Elfin in Ramsey appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted possessing cannabis on Parliament Square in Ramsey on May 11.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing the 18 year old had turned himself in to police after 3.5 grams of cannabis worth £105 was found in the back seat of a car – the two men inside said it wasn’t theirs.
The court heard Boyde still had 87 hours of unpaid work to do after being convicted of possessing cannabis with intent to supply it last October.
Magistrates fined him £700 and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
