A tree surgeon whose truck and trailer had 18 faults has learnt an expensive lesson.
Roy Duggan, of Cooil Breryk in Ramsey, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 51-year-old admitted driving his Toyota while in a dangerous condition and using a trailer in a dangerous condition.
He was stopped in Laxey on August 21 after police noticed a rear trailer light wasn't working - a vehicle examiner later found a total of 18 defects.
Duggan was fined a total of £645 and ordered to pay £50 costs as well as having three penalty points put on his licence.
