A Ramsey man whose driving licence had expired had no insurance when police stopped him, a court's heard.
Jamie Alan Grose of Mooragh Promenade admitted driving without a licence or insurance when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The court heard the 38 year old was stopped in Groves Road in Douglas just after 2pm on February 16.
Although he had a driving licence, it had expired in 2015, and he couldn't produce insurance documents when asked to by officers.
Magistrates fined him a total of £450 and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
They also put six penalty points on his licence.
