A young man has died following a collision in St Johns this weekend.
Police have confirmed 21-year-old Luke McNicholas of Douglas passed away following the incident on Curragh Road involving a car and a mountain bike he was riding at around 3.20pm yesterday (January 16).
Authorities say he suffered severe injuries at the scene and later died at Noble’s Hospital.
The constabulary says no further details will be disclosed at this time as the matter Is still being investigated.
The driver of the vehicle involved and other witnesses have been assisting officers with enquiries.
Police are asking people not to speculate about what happened and their thoughts are with Luke’s family at this time.
