A man from Douglas has denied taking his girlfriend’s car without consent and drink- driving it while banned from the roads.
Petr Grnalek of Central Promenade appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 33 year old pleaded not guilty to a total of three charges, all of which are said to have taken place in Berry Woods Avenue in Douglas on September 16.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing Mr Grnalek’s partner called police after she saw him driving her silver VW Passat - when he was breathalysed officers found he was more than three times over the limit.
Mrs Hughes granted bail and Mr Grnalek will appear in court again on November 26 for a pre-trial review.
