A man charged with sex offences against a young girl has denied indecently assaulting her as an adult and possessing hundreds of indecent images of children.
Dennis George Wakefield of Snugborough Avenue in Union Mills appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 58 year old denies indecently assaulting an adult and six counts of possessing indecent images of children - he hasn’t yet entered a plea to two counts of gross indecency with a child.
All the allegations date between April 2016 and July last year.
The court heard Mr Wakefield’s alleged victim had been six years old when the first offence is said to have taken place.
Mrs Hughes committed the case to the court of General Gaol Delivery and bailed him in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn’t contact witnesses or have unsupervised contact with anyone under 16.
He’ll next appear in court on a date to be fixed.
