Philip John Ranken of Royal Court in Onchan appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old denies causing serious bodily harm by driving without due care and attention on November 18 last year.
The court heard his car hit a woman as he pulled away from a parking space, leaving her with injuries to her leg and foot.
Magistrates adjourned the case, and he's next due to appear on August 19.
