A 57 year old from Douglas has denied assaulting his girlfriend.
Robert Anthony Mcconville of Coronation Terrace pleaded not guilty to common assault on March 20 when he appeared before magistrates.
The hearing at Douglas courthouse was adjourned until May 16, when a pre-trial review will take place.
There was no application for bail and Mr Mcconville was remanded in custody until his next appearance.
