A man's denied assaulting his ex-girlfriend before struggling with police as they tried to arrest him.
Anthony John Richard Lyons of Spring Valley Road in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
The 33 year old denies assault and resisting police at a property on the Edremony Estate in Port Erin on September 19.
The court heard Mr Lyons is alleged to have grabbed his partner by the hair during an argument and flung her against a radiator.
The court heard when police arrived, they used Pava spray on him and it took five officers to carry him to a police van.
Mr Brooks granted bail in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn't enter Port Erin or contact his alleged victim.
He's next due to appear in court again on November 16.
