A Douglas man accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend before harassing her for weeks has been remanded in custody.
David Patrick Oliver Gorman of St Catherine’s Close appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He denies assault on August 9 and conduct amounting to harassment between August 18 and September 9.
Gorman’s advocate told the court forensic examiners have yet to inspect devices his client’s accused of using to send dozens of phone, text and Facebook messages to his
former partner.
Mrs Hughes remanded the 47 year old in custody and he’ll next appear for a pre-trial review on October 8.
