A man who stood in the middle of the road to stop a police van from getting past will be sentenced later this month.
Jake Mortimer of Churchtown in Lezayre appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He’s been convicted of using threatening words or behaviour, resisting police and obstructing officers in Farrant’s Way in Castletown on February 22.
Mortimer was one of a group of friends who began rowing with police as they tried to arrest one of the group.
His advocate asked for a one-week adjournment while a pre-sentencing report is completed.
Mrs Hughes bailed Mortimer to appear in court again on September 22.
