Police have charged a man with attempted murder following a series of violent incidents in the north of the Island.
Taylor Murphy has also been charged with a number of other offences, including two counts of robbery, burglary and other acquisitive crimes.
The police clarified that reports describing him as a vulnerable missing person were inaccurate, and they did not request public searches for him but to check outbuildings were "secure and not disturbed".
The Constabulary urges the public to avoid speculation and to respect the ongoing criminal justice process, while thoughts remain with the injured Ramsey man receiving care in the UK.
