A man from the UK has been jailed, and banned from the Isle of Man, after throwing his girlfriend into the road during an argument.
20-year-old Eddie Falcon, whose address was given in court as Tynwald Street in Douglas, had only been on the Island for a week when he was arrested.
Police were called to Tynwald Street at 1.30pm on November 14th after concerned members of the public saw him picking her up against her will and raised the alarm.
The court heard Falcon had met the woman, who has links to the Island, in a hostel in the UK and returned with her with the intention of 'starting a new life together'.
Falcon later admitted displaying provoking behaviour - his advocate told the court it was an argument that had got out of hand adding: "He should have handled things differently."
Blaming his issues on a 'chaotic upbringing and toxic family set-up' his advocate said Falcon, who has outstanding warrants in the UK, wanted to put his life on an 'even keel'.
Sending Falcon to prison for 14 weeks Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes also imposed a five-year exclusion order meaning he'll be banned from returning on his release from custody.
