The Gambling Supervision Commission has banned a man from any involvement in the Island's gambling sector indefinitely.
In a statement, it says Phua Cheng Wan owned Boldwood Software, which held a licence from 2022 until May this year, when the company voluntarily surrendered it.
The commission says it's aware of allegations he was involved with what it calls 'bad actors' and so isn't a fit and proper person to hold roles in the industry here.
And it says while Mr Phua hasn't been convicted any offences, there is evidence he is associated with criminal elements.
