A man’s appeared in court over allegations he had more than £22,000 worth of heroin.
Scott Eric Carbutt of Waterloo Road in Ramsey appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks.
The 40-year-old entered no plea to a single count of possessing the class A drug with intent to supply it on January 14.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the court Mr Carbutt was stopped by police as he was about to get into a Mini in a car park – the car sped away but police managed to stop it on Ballure Road in Maughold.
Officers discovered the suspected drugs inside, and have sent them away for forensic tests.
Mr Brooks granted bail in the sum of £500 and Mr Carbutt will appear in court again on March 22.
