One man has been arrested following the conclusion of the incident on Head Road in Douglas tonight.
Police have been in attendance since around 7pm - with civil defence teams on the scene and riot gear deployed.
No further details are as yet known as to the nature of the incident but it is known it centred on a property on Taubman Terrace.
The road is currently being reopened with all access restored.
