A man has been arrested after a member of door staff was headbutted at a Douglas nightclub at the weekend.
Police have confirmed the male was apprehended at The Courthouse Bar on Athol Street in the early hours of Sunday morning for the attack and generally behaving in a disorderly manner.
Officers add the man has been charged with the offences, held in custody and is due to appear in court.
Authorities say they fully support the licensing trade are urging people to drink safely and responsibly during the remaining holiday period.
