Trying to steal hundreds of pounds worth of clothes from Sports Direct has landed a man in court.
Craig Teare, of Crossag Close in Ballasalla, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 37-year-old admitted one count of theft after taking hoodies, a jumper and joggers worth £660 from the shop in the Strand Shopping Centre in Douglas on February 4.
He was spotted by the manager putting the items in a black bag with no attempt to pay and was arrested later in Ballasalla, telling police "I got spotted didn't I? I knew I got spotted".
The case was adjourned for a social enquiry report until April 30 and Teare was bailed in the sum of £500.
