A man’s admitted stealing two bottles of gin before causing an incident in a Douglas pub.
Alistair John Cowin of Ballafletcher Road in Tromode appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas Courthouse through a live video link to the Island’s jail.
The 37 year old pleaded guilty to the theft from Marks and Spencer and disorderly behaviour on licensed premises at the Bowling Green pub as well as breaching his release licence from prison – all offences took place on February 25.
However, he denies assaulting a police officer on the same date.
Mr Arrowsmith remanded Cowin in custody, and he’s next due to appear at a pre-trial review hearing on April 22.
