A man’s admitted shoplifting in Douglas three times in as many weeks.
Jonathon Edward Myers of Princes Avenue in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted stealing a shaver and toothbrushes from Boots in Strand Street and a hat from JD Sports between November 23 and December 10 last year.
The court heard the 39 year old was addicted to drugs and initially denied the crimes before changing his plea to guilty.
Mrs Hughes said he had a long record of committing thefts, and jailed him for 14 weeks suspended for two years.
Myers was also ordered to pay £355 compensation and costs of £300.
