A Colby man who had £10,000 in cash on him ran off when police tried to search him, a court’s heard.
Phillip Nyamande of The Level appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse via a live videolink from prison.
The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to obstructing a drugs search but denied possessing criminal property.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Nyamande was in a car with another man when police stopped them, and ran off when officers said they wanted to search the duo.
There was no bail application and he was remanded in custody to appear again on October 5.
