A Douglas man has admitted stealing a blank form from his psychologist and forging a prescription.
Dean Thomas John Costain-Quirk of Demesne Road appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 24 year old pleaded guilty to one charge each of theft, fraud and forgery.
The court heard he’d gone for an appointment with community mental health services on January 21 and stolen the blank prescription form.
He then filled it in himself and tried to pass off the forgery in Lloyds Pharmacy - but staff were suspicious and called police.
Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 while pre-sentencing reports are prepared and Costain- Quirk will appear again on June 13.
