A man who smashed up his ex-girlfriend’s car and shouted threats at her will be sentenced next month.
William Thomas Prince of the Threshold in Jurby appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old admitted criminal damage, using provoking behaviour and disorderly behaviour.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing his ex-girlfriend, accompanied by her friends, met him near his home on April 18 but an argument broke out and Prince smashed her car’s wing mirrors and windscreen with a metal bar.
He was arrested and gave a prepared statement to police denying any involvement.
On May 15 he spotted her in the car park at Ramsey Swimming Pool and shouted threats at her in front of two young children – when he was again arrested he answered no comment to all questions put to him.
After hearing Prince was already doing community service after a conviction earlier this year involving the same woman, Mrs Hughes asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared.
Prince was bailed in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn’t contact witnesses, and will appear in court again on October 25.
