A man from Douglas has admitted his part in a plot to bring £144,000 of drugs to the Isle of Man.
At Douglas Courthouse, Darren Noel Dooley pleaded guilty to being unlawfully concerned in the supply of cannabis and conspiracy to produce the class B drug.
Prosecuting, James Robinson said Dooley had been part of a plot to smuggle the drugs onto the Island in a car with hidden compartments last April.
The car was stopped by police at the Sea Terminal, and a search uncovered more than seven kilogrammes of cannabis.
The court heard the scheme was cooked up by a gang of criminals in the Isle of Man and Liverpool.
A further 16 charges against Dooley of possessing drugs with intent to supply, producing drugs and offering to supply them were withdrawn.
Dooley, who’s currently serving a sentence at the Isle of Man prison, made no bail application.
He’ll appear at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on March 5.
