A man who was more than one and a half times the legal cannabis limit has kept his driving licence.
Jordan Keig of Reginald Mews in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 24 year old admitted being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of cannabis on Battery Pier in Douglas on March 6.
Prosecutor Chrissie Hunt told the hearing police spoke to Keig as he sat in his grey VW Golf, and carried out a roadside drugs test when they smelled cannabis.
The test was positive and blood tests later showed a result of 3.3 microgrammes of THC per 100 millilitres of blood – the legal limit is 2.
Defence advocate James Peterson told the bench his client drove as part of his job, and asked them not to ban him from the roads.
The bench imposed ten penalty points on his licence and fined him £500 as well as ordering him to pay £125 costs.
