A Ramsey man who headbutted his cousin after drinking eight pints of lager will be sentenced later this month.
Craig Brown of Parliament Street admitted disorderly behaviour on licensed premises when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The hearing was told Brown had been drinking in the Stanley Hotel on Saturday, May 11 before CCTV showed him arguing with his victim before launching an unprovoked attack.
Prosecution advocate Barry Swain said Brown had been convicted of using threatening behaviour in the UK last year.
Magistrates adjourned the case for reports, and Brown will appear again on September 26.
