A man who's accused of kicking his girlfriend in the head and slamming her into a doorframe will appear in court again later this month.
Geraint Richard Darren Hughes of North Shore Road in Ramsey appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Christopher Arrowsmith at Douglas Courthouse.
The 38 year old is accused of criminal damage to a car window and assault causing actual bodily harm on October 31 but hasn't yet entered pleas.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the court he'd thrown his then-girlfriend into the side of a car, slammed her head against a door frame and repeatedly kicked her during the attack in Sandygate.
A bail application was refused and Mr Hughes was remanded in custody until his next appearance on November 26.
